    "The Hottest Duo on the Hotel Circuit" 

One of their last porformances, in Burlington, Colorado hotel.  We use to record every week to see how we sounded. This was one of those nights.   

It took me 23 years to go back and listen to this cassette tape again, actualy I found it in an old suitcase I pulled out of storage.  I knew we were good as a Duo or a Trio, but now you can hear for yourself.  

Larry Livgren played Key Bass and Keyboards plus he sang.  I played Guitar and Drums, I had a Korg rhythm 55, I played with a foot switch.  That was an amazing machine.  We played the cover songs of the day.  Top 40 and Country, plus oldies and goodies and a little Blues on the side.  The first  "Frank Ace Duo' was Craig Ruby and Frank Ace, Then we added Freddie Phelps on Congo's and Vocals.  We got Bob Baird from Tempe, Arizona on keyboards.  Then Larry Livgren came home and we added the third and final piece.  We are all still good friends.  Craig is in Phoenix, Arizona, Larry Livgren is in Carbondale, Kansas.  Freddie Phelps is in Topeka, Kansas and I'm about 90 minutes north of them in Saint Joseph, Missouri.  We will get back together if the money is right....:-)  HA!
